Parking
All participants should park in one of the following lots:
- Lot North of Mellencamp Pavillion
- Lot Between Assembly Hall and Memorial Stadium
- Lot South of Assembly Hall/Gladstein Fieldhouse
On race day, absolutely NO PARKING will be available in the lot North of Assembly Hall, or the lot West and South of Memorial Stadium and Assembly Hall.
Race Course
5K Run / 5K Walk [Download Map]

The 5K Run/Walk course begins in the parking area immediately west of Memorial Stadium near the intersection of Dunn and 17th. It will wind throughout the beautiful Indiana University Bloomington campus with the finish culminating in the parking area at the southeast corner outside IU's Memorial Stadium. The race is supervised by professional race manager, Ken Long & Associates. The 5K Run will be timed through the first hour. (A 5K course is equal to 3.1 miles.)
1-Mile Competitive Kids' Run [Download Map]
(15 min pace required)
The 1-mile Competitive Kids Run for ages 12 and under will also start in the parking area west of Memorial Stadium. The runners will travel north onto 17th street through exit 6, pass east along 17th to exit 4, back into the Assembly Hall parking area, wind north toward The Mellencamp Center, then back south toward the finish located at the southeast corner of the stadium parking area.
1-Mile Family Walk [Download Map]
The 1-Mile Family Walk will take place throughout the Assembly Hall/Mellencamp Pavilion/IU Memorial Stadium complex.
The course can be easily navigated by wheelchairs and strollers and includes entertainment appropriate for participants of all ages.
Awards
- The 1st place male and female in the 5K Run will receive an award and a $100 gift certificate - they will not be eligible for the age division awards.
- The 1st place male and female survivor in the 5K Run will receive an award and a $100 gift certificate and will be eligible for age division awards.
- Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners in age divisions 12 and under, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 70+.
- Trophies are given to the first three girls and first three boys in the Kids' Run in three age divisions; 6 and under; 7-9 and 10-12.
- All boys and girls in the 5K Run or the 1-Mile Kids' Run will receive a finisher's ribbon.
